Springhill Prison Escaper Release 4

The search for a dangerous offender at large since fleeing a North Waikato prison on Wednesday has moved into the Counties Manukau District.
Armed Police were called to a Bucklands Beach address earlier today after credible reports the escaper, Storm Bryce HUGHES, could be found there.
Cordons were established a safe distance from the address and the home surrounded by members of Auckland Armed Offenders Squad while voice appeals were made for his surrender.
A subsequent search of the property revealed HUGHES had already fled the property and cordons were lifted about 11.25am.
HUGHES remains at large and Police are reiterating warnings to the public that he is dangerous and should not be approached.
