1 min read

Police have located the stolen Ford Falcon car taken from Tai Tapu in the weekend. Police believe that this was in the possession of William Stewart.

The vehicle was located at the Hawkins River Bridge on Deans Road, Waddington, Central Canterbury.

A 4WD vehicle was stolen from a property in that vicinity on Tuesday morning. This vehicle is a Toyota Hilux, wellside with tourney cover. The vehicle is grey with the registration number ETU351.

This vehicle has not been reported as seen by any member of the public or Police since it was stolen. Police believe that it is likely that Stewart is in possession of this vehicle and if the vehicle is sighted by the public please call the Police on 111 immediately.

Stewart is believed to be dangerous and should not be approached, however it is believed he is more of a danger to Police than the public provided they do not try and apprehend him. If he is sighted report this to Police immediately.

At this stage Police are continuing with inquiries to locate Stewart. His whereabouts at this time is unknown.
