Aggravated Burglary – Clover Park

Counties Manukau Police are investigating a vicious aggravated burglary that occurred yesterday Monday 21 July in Clover Park, Flat Bush.

At approximately 10:20am a man entered a residential home on Aspiring Avenue in Clover Park. At home at the time was a 66 year old grandmother caring for her nine month old grandchild.

The victim was confronted by the intruder who assaulted her physically.  The offender then left the address taking a laptop computer.

The victim was hospitalised with serious head injuries following the assault.

Detective Senior Sergeant Darrell Harpur says the level of violence used in the attack is concerning and Police ask that anyone with information contacts them immediately.

“Just after the attack a person was seen walking out of the victim's driveway onto Aspiring Avenue and we hope that this person can help us with our enquiries,” he says.

The person is described as a male Maori or Polynesian of medium build and height with bushy afro type hair tied back with a white hair tie or band and with facial hair or a beard. He is possibly aged around late 20s to mid 30s.
