Drug charges after search warrant executed in Dinsdale

1 min read

Hamilton Police executed a search warrant in Dinsdale on Saturday 4 June at an address of a woman suspected of supplying methamphetamine, resulting in her arrest.

Acting Detective Sergeant Terri Wilson said: “The warrant and subsequent arrest was the result of an investigation into the criminal activities of that individual believed to be supplying methamphetamine.

"Targeting drugs and organised crime is one of the five priorities in the Prevention First strategy and Waikato District Police are committed to disrupting the spread of illegal drugs in our communities.

"This arrest, much like the rest of the work we do, could not occur without the support of the community who are becoming increasingly intolerant of the suffering caused by drugs offending.

"Anyone who is selling or distributing controlled drugs should think twice, as police and the general public are determined to disrupt these activities."

Police recovered drugs and other drug-related items. The woman arrested is due to appear in Hamilton District Court on Tuesday 7 June, on charges including supplying methamphetamine and possession of drug-related equipment.
