Event concludes on high note

1 min read

"A rewarding success" is how Inspector Alan Shearer of Counties/Manukau Police described the 2015 Polyfest that concluded this afternoon at the Manukau Sports Bowl.

He estimated up to 50,000 people attended the second of the two day event which was busy, fun, safe and sober.

"The event organisers did a great job ensuring it remained alcohol and smoke free throughout and Police are proud to have been part of the success.

"A few people (14) were asked to leave due to behavioural issues and two people were arrested for breaching their bail conditions but, when you consider about 80,000 people attended over the two days, it's clear the vast majority of those who participated and enjoyed Polyfest were there for all the right reasons."
