1 min read

Please attribute to West Coast Area Commander Superintendent Mel Aitken:

A 22-year-old man involved in a single-vehicle crash at Coal Creek, Greymouth on the afternoon of Sunday 30 September has died as a result of his injuries.

The death has been referred to the Coroner.

Police’s thoughts are with family and friends at this time.

This death is a tragic loss of a young life and brings the total number of road deaths in the Tasman Policing District to 11 for the year to date.

While this is a reduction from last year, any death is seen as one death too many.

Tasman Police are committed to reducing harm on our roads and make every effort to ensure people reach their destination safely.
