Canterbury Police have confirmed that a four-year old boy has died in Starship Hospital in Auckland following a quad-bike crash on a Tai Tapu farm late last month.

The crash occurred on Sunday 27 April at a Tai Tapu property. Police believe the boy was riding on a quad-bike with an adult when the crash occurred.

The boy suffered serious injuries and was transferred to Starship Hospital. He died as a result of his injuries on Saturday.

The adult rider, aged in his 60s, was also injured in the crash and received hospital treatment but has now been discharged.
