1 min read

Hutt Valley Police have arrested a man in relation to a robbery of a Petone bank earlier this year, in which the offender presented a note to counter staff.

The incident happened around midday on May 3, at the BNZ on Jackson Street.

A male approached the counter, had a conversation with staff, and presented a note threatening them. No weapon was seen or used in the robbery.

The BNZ staff and managers have been advised of the arrest.

A 40-year-old Hutt Valley man will appear in Hutt Valley District Court on Monday, July 18, charged with non-aggravated robbery.

As this matter is now before the Courts, Police have no further comment.
