1 min read

Police are investigating the death of a middle-aged man in Thames after his body was found in service lane 6, between Mary Street and Queen Street, at about 7am on Monday 15 August 2016.

An investigation is under way to establish who he is and how he has died. Service lane 6 is expected to be closed for the rest of the day.

"His injuries cause us concern over how he's died and we have specialist staff in Thames helping with the investigation," said Senior Sergeant Rodney Carpinter.

Anyone who has seen or heard anything suspicious or unusual in the service lane, or around the central Thames area, between 4pm last night (Sunday 14 August) and 7am this morning, is asked to contact Thames Police on 07 8679604. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
