Police are now in a position to release the name of the man who died following an incident at Whangarei Hospital earlier this week.
He was Bradley Gibbons, 43, from Whangarei.
Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
The death has been referred to the Coroner.
Police enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we are not in a position to comment further at this time.
