Police are seeking 34-year-old Robert James McAllister, who is wanted to arrest for a number of violent offences.
He is considered dangerous and should not be approached by the public.
Mr McAllister is believed to be in the Canterbury or Otago regions.
Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts or information leading to his arrest is asked to contact Canterbury Police on 03 363 7400.
