Police pleased with behaviour at Christmas in the Park

1 min read

Auckland Police are pleased with the outcome of last night’s 22nd Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, which was held at the Auckland Domain and was an alcohol-free event.

“There were minimal issues during the concert and good use was made of public transport for patrons travelling to and from the venue” says Inspector Peter Gibson, Operations Manager, Auckland City Police.

Inspector Gibson says that continuing to make Christmas in the Park alcohol-free makes perfect sense for a family-friendly event.

"We're committed to minimising alcohol harm to all, in whatever context” he says.

This message was heeded as there were only 4 arrests at the Auckland Doman, for behaviour-related offending and breach of bail conditions.
