Police seek further information in Ashburton

Police investigating Monday’s shooting in Ashburton continue to look for an unrecovered black mountain bike and any other items belonging to the male arrested in relation the incident which could include an additional firearm and ammunition that may have been in his possession. 
 
Police are continuing to do a thorough search of the Ashburton River area and ask the public to continue to keep away from the area over the weekend.  
 
A blue/red/yellow mountain bike has already been located along with a number of other items of interest to the enquiry (photo attached).  If this is your bike or you know who it belongs to please contact Police.
 
The man is believed to have been camping at sites along the Ashburton River in the days leading up to the incident and it is possible that there are further items belonging to him in this area.
