1 min read

NZ Police is proud to support the opening of Linwood’s Mobile Wellbeing Hub.

The Hub is part of the Ministry of Education’s Greater Christchurch Earthquake Renewal Programme, and is a partnership between Linwood early childhood education services, local schools, and 16 government and non-government agencies.

A key focus for the Hub will be to connect with the Linwood community and work with children aged 0-6 years with a view to effecting inter-generational change.

The opening of the Hub will be held at Linwood College on Wednesday 15 June at 1.30 p.m.

Speakers at the opening include:

·       Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel

·       Acting Assistant Commissioner Bruce Bird, NZ Police

·       Canterbury District Commander John Price, NZ Police

·       Canterbury Director of Education Coralanne Child, Ministry of Education.

The opening of the Mobile Wellbeing Hub also serves as the official opening of the Police Mobile Base for Canterbury District.

The Police Mobile Base is a new initiative in the Canterbury District and will be deployed across the region in a variety of ways to deliver services and connect with local communities, including at major public events such as Christmas in the Park.
