1 min read

Waitemata Serious Crash Unit officers investigating the fatal crash on Whangaparaoa Road which killed a 23 year-old woman nearly a month ago would like to speak to a motorcyclist believed to have been near the scene at the time the crash happened.

Coral Jobsis died after the car she was driving collided with another vehicle at around 5.30am on Thursday 15 January.

The two occupants of the other car were injured but have since been released from hospital.

Enquiries have established that at around the time the crash happened, a crew of line-marking workers who were painting lines on the road near the scene were approached by a man on a motorbike. He told them there had been a serious crash further up the road.

Police need to speak to the motorcyclist to establish if he has any information that could assist the enquiry.

The crash occurred on Whangaparaoa Road between the Marellen Drive and Glenelg Road intersection.

Anyone else who witnessed the crash who hasn't yet spoken to Police is also asked to make contact.

Please call Senior Constable Colin Nuttall at the Waitemata Police Serious Crash Unit on 09 4810773.
