Jenner Road remains closed as police continue an investigation into an incident last night.
At 10.30pm last night, police received a report of a vehicle crash along Jenner Road.
Shortly after the crash, police were called to Nelson Hospital where a woman was being treated for serious injuries.
At this time, police are unsure if the two incidents are linked and have closed Jenner Road to conduct a scene examination of the area in which the crash was reported.
Police are asking for anyone in the Jenner Road area who saw or heard anything suspicious between the hours of 9.00pm and midnight to contact the Nelson Police on 03 546 3840.
Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously via the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Until the scene examination is complete, and police have determined whether the two incidents are linked, police are unable to comment further.
