    Junior Detective we need your help.

    Your mission is to find pictures of Police Dog Cards hidden in the museum and tell us at Museum HQ how many you find and who your favourite dog is. Let’s see if you can find them all.

    Senior Detective Mystery

    Put your detective skills to the test with our Senior Detective Mystery: Operation: Familiar

    Detective we need your help with Operation Familiar. We have a cold case from 1988 with new evidence. There are 5 stations, use the evidence from 1988 and new evidence from today to figure out who out who did it. When you complete your investigation report your findings to Museum HQ. Come in and give it a go for free. We recommend this activity for individuals and groups.

     

     

     
     

     

     

  • Term 2 School Holiday Programmes: Craft Workshop: Make a Medal

    Tuesday 7 July 11am – 12pm (week 1)

    4 - 6 years 
    $5 per child
    Bookings required

    Do you enjoy craft and creating things?

     Medals are awarded to people who do great deeds. Come and make a medal, it could be for yourself, or for someone you admire.  There will be colouring, card folding and caregivers will need to help.

    Meet an Armed Offenders Squad member and find out what they do in New Zealand Police to keep us safe. Make a booking to come see them at the Museum.

  • Term 2 School Holiday Programmes: Scene of Crime Officer Workshop: Footwear Impression Evidence

    Monday 6 July 11am – 12pm (week 1)
    Monday 13 July 11am – 12pm (week 2)

    7 - 12 years
    $5 per child
    Bookings required

    You can tell what shoe someone is wearing with the shoeprint left behind! Create a footprint cast and record a shoe impression using forensic techniques. All junior recruits take home their own cast and impression. Wear shoes with a clear and interesting sole.

    Everyone’s fingerprints are different. Learn to dust, identify, and lift fingerprints like a true SOCO. Look at your own fingerprints and see what patterns you have. All junior recruits take home their own fingerprint evidence.

  • Term 2 School Holiday Programmes: Next Level Scene of Crime Officer Workshop

    Tuesday 14 July 11am – 12pm (week 2)

    Calling all secondary recruits. Do you know how our Scene of Crime Officers gather evidence? Use the equipment like our SOCOs and learn how they collect fingerprints at a scene. All secondary recruits take home their own fingerprint evidence.
