The ‘Exhibit and property management’ chapter details procedures for handling and managing property coming into Police possession, including: exhibits; found property; property for safekeeping where ownership is unknown at the time or is in dispute; detained persons’ property; deceased persons’ property; any other property as directed by the District Commander. Some parts of this chapter have been considered not appropriate for release and, if requested, would be withheld under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). In this chapter, the relevant sections of the Act that would apply have been identified.
