This chapter of the Police Manual explains the ways in which Police dogs can assist Police employees in their duties. It also contains more detailed information relating to the management, training and deployment of police dog resources for managers, supervisors and dog handlers. Some parts of this chapter have been considered not appropriate for release and, if requested, would be withheld under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). In this chapter, the relevant sections of the Act that would apply have been identified.
