The Tag Free programme provides learning activities to reduce graffiti vandalism by encouraging young people to develop pride and respect in themselves and their community.

In this year 9–10 programme students will learn:

• about the history of personal expression
• about the impact and consequences of graffiti vandalism
• recognise positive peer pressure to have pride in one’s community
• to take action to improve their community and show pride in their achievements.

The Doing the Right Thing programme aims to promote values that will assist students to become responsible New Zealanders who respect others and the law.

In this year 7–8 programme students will learn:

• about leadership and how to handle difficult situations
• how to make good decision
• about the consequences for victims when offenders break laws
• to distinguish the difference between lies and the truth and how to handle temptations to lie
• to take action to be a role model for others.

The Doing the Right Thing programme aims to promote values that will assist students to become responsible New Zealanders who respect others and the law.

In this year 1–3 programme students will learn:

• the difference between right and wrong
• the need for rules, and the consequences of breaking them for ourselves and others
• the qualities of a role model.

This pack for schools contains a set of photos of Police to show the range of services Police provide.

Teachers and police officers select from the photos the ones that best suit the age and maturity of the students and the topic being taught to show how police serve their community.
