Diversity liaison officers (DLOs) are located throughout New Zealand to provide liaison between Police and those in our community who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (Rainbow communities).

We have Police officers and Police employees who work in a variety of different roles that hold the portfolio of being a DLO. If you would like to speak with us, do leave a message and we can get back to you during our working hours or when we are back at work.

What we can do

  • If you have an issue or query that you want to discuss, or want advice we are happy to help.
  • provide advice, explain processes or link you in with appropriate support groups.

What we can't do

  • We cannot interfere in the court process. However if you are a victim we are able to support you through the court process.

Comments appreciated

  • We are always looking to continuously improve what we do. If you have a complaint or praise you would like to share with us, you can contact us through our praise and complaints section.
