Can I text 111?

No, unless you are deaf, hearing or speech impaired and have registered to use the emergency 111 TXT service. Texts from phones that are not registered won't go through.

If you have an emergency, we need to know exactly where you are and what's happening. The quickest way of gathering that information is to talk to you directly so in an emergency, call 111.

Register for the emergency 111 TXT service.
