Cousins rob again

1 min read

Auckland City Police investigating a spate of service station robberies believe the offenders they’re looking for - Desmond, Tony and Mark Tana - struck again twice last evening.

The Pt. Chevalier Mobil service station at 1177 Great North Rd was robbed by three men driving a Mitsubishi Galant car with the registration number TE5515, at 6.05pm. The sole attendant was not injured during the incident, which saw the robbers get away with over $300 and more than $2000 worth of cigarettes.

The same three offenders robbed the Walmsley Rd, Mangere, Mobil service station at 7pm, taking with them cigarettes, ‘phone cards and cash.

Police investigating the series of robberies which now total at least 23, would like to hear from anyone who saw the vehicle or the men using it between 6 and 7pm last evening, or anyone who knows where it or the suspected offenders are now.

They can contact Detectives Gavin Henderson or Jamie Bissett at the Mt Wellington Police Station, ph 526 7300.
