A man found dead in a house in Taumarunui yesterday morning (Thursday, 30 July) has been named as 43-year-old David Nicholas Otimi, son of David and Joan Otimi.
His 41-year-old wife also found dead at the Taupo Road address has been named as Bernadette Otimi, daughter of Dan and Elsie Ellis.
The couple had three children under the age of 13. They were in the house and it was the children who raised the alarm. They are now being cared for by family.
Post mortems are currently underway to establish the cause of the couples' deaths.
