The young man killed in a car accident on the Summit Road on the Port Hills above Christchurch yesterday, has been named. Detective Sergeant Corrie Parnell says his family have been notified.

He was Xhong Heng DING, aged 23, a Chinese national from Shanghai.

The police inquiry into the causes of the crash are expected to take another week or so.
