Injured man has sought medical treatment

1 min read

Police and medical professionals no longer have concerns for a man who left hospital on Friday with a head injury.

Tyrone William Madams, 33, left Wanganui Hospital early on Friday morning (6 November) after receiving a head injury during an incident in the town on Thursday night.

Doctors initially contacted police with fears that Mr Madams' condition could deteriorate if he didn’t have his injury assessed and undergo medical treatment.

Yesterday afternoon Tyrone Madams re-attended Wanganui Hospital. He was seen by a doctor who was satisfied that the head injury was no longer a cause for concern and formally discharged him.

Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in this matter.

Media enquiries should be referred to Communications Manager Kim Perks on 06 351 2546 or 027 234 8256.
