Witnesses to road v cyclist crash sought

Christchurch Police attended a vehicle crash at the intersection of Creyke Road and Clyde Road, just before 8am this morning (1st March 2010).

The cyclist was taken to hospital with possible rib injuries and police need details of the offending vehicle/driver.

The cyclist was traveling east on Creyke Road, nearing the intersection of Clyde Road. The vehicle had been traveling east on Creyke Road, and was turning left at the free turn into Clyde Road and allegedly hit the cyclist's front wheel, knocking her to the ground.

The victim is still at Christchurch Hospital for assessment and observations.
