Police have released the name of the man killed in a crash in High Street, Leeston, near Christchurch yesterday evening.
He was Nigel Graham Townley, aged 40, of Leeston.
Initial investigations into the incident have indicated that the man was not cycling at the time he was hit by a vehicle.
It is believed he was on the roadway at the time of the crash, and was not wearing a cycle helmet or high-visibility clothing.
Police have spoken to the driver of the vehicle involved, and investigations into the incident are continuing.
