1 min read

Police in Central District have today coordinated a major operation focused on gangs, methamphetamine and organised crime - gangs including members of the Rebels.

The operation has involved in excess of 100 police staff across five policing districts on the North Island and resulted in numerous arrests and seizures of drugs, cash and other property.

Full results of the operation are still being collated and media are invited to attend a press conference at Central District Police HQ, Cuba Street, Palmerston North at 4pm this afternoon when further details and photo opportunities will be available.

The media conference will be led by Central Police District Commander Russell Gibson and Detective Inspector Chris Bensemann. Police Minister Judith Collins will also be in attendance.

Media enquiries should be referred to Communications Manager Kim Perks on 027 234 8256.
