It appears Andrew Clive Watkins may have left the building, though what he's wearing is unknown.
Mr Watkins is the 25 year-old former Auckland Hospital patient who's wanted by Police after he evaded Waitakere staff at the hospital this morning there to execute arrest warrants.
He was admitted to hospital with suspected injuries shortly after 2.30am after he fell from an apartment building in Glen Eden while Police were attending a call for service.
At 2.20pm, most Police who had been at Auckland Hospital trying to locate Mr Watkins after he disappeared into the labyrinth of the building's ceiling, were stood down.
The matter of his current whereabouts and his outstanding warrants has been passed to Henderson Police to follow up on, some of whom will remain at the hospital for several hours.
