Woman out of bush

1 min read

The 24 year old woman at the centre of a land Search and rescue operation is at Ashburton hospital recovering from her ordeal this afternoon.

Katrina Crabbe of Ashburton was airlifted out at 12.45pm and briefly touched down at Peel Forest to re united her with her parents before going on to Ashburton Hospital for a check up.

Senior Constable Greg Sutherland says she was caught out yesterday in the low cloud and weather in the bush.

"In our changeable climate and terrain you need to be prepared for anything when you set out," he says.
