Dargaville Police Station Burgled

Early this morning (Sunday February 11) the Dargaville Police Station was burgled.

A range of items of, including firearms and drugs and other police equipment were stolen.

The offenders also took a police vehicle, which was later found abandoned at

Waihue Road, 2km from the station.

Police are launching a full inquiry into how the offenders gained access and are not in a position to reveal these details until the investigation is completed.

At team of more than 20 police are searching for the offenders and missing items and Police are appealing to the public for information on sightings of a blue and yellow road policing car between the hours of 1am and 5.30am.
