Police urgently seeking fourth person following rape in Petone

Police in Lower Hutt are urgently seeking Kereti TE HUNA (see attached photograph) in connection with a vicious rape of an 18-year-old female in Petone late on Wednesday 7 March.

Three people have been arrested in relation to the attack and further people including TE HUNA, who is known to reside in the Petone area, are sought by police.

The rape occurred at the Housing New Zealand complex at the eastern end of Jackson Street, commonly known as the Jackson Street Flats.

Police are appealing to members of the public to urgently contact Lower Hutt Police on (04) 560 2600 if they know the whereabouts of TE HUNA.

Police also urge occupants of the Jackson Street Flats who have any information that might be relevant to their inquiries to contact police.

Police are continuing their investigation and cannot comment further at this stage.
