Arrests in P house explosion

A 25 year old female has been arrested and will appear in the Christchurch High Court this afternoon charged with being a party to attempting to manufacture methamphetamine. A two week remand in custody is sought.

A 39 yearold male from the address is also being charged and will appear in the District Court next Wednesday charged with Supplying Precursors for Manufacturing methamphetamine (x2).

Further arrests and charges are likely.

The suspected 'cook' is in a stable condition in Middlemore Hospital and is not in any condition to speak to Police at this time.

Detective Sergeant Greg Murton says that police at the scene and are likely to be there another day.
