Hamilton sudden death not suspicious

1 min read

A post-mortem examination carried out on the body of a woman found lying in her Hamilton home on Wednesday night was completed in Auckland today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton of the Hamilton CIB said the examination indicated the death of 63-year-old Judith Anne RUSSELL was not suspicious.

"It will now be for the Coroner to determine the cause of her death," he said.

Emergency services had been called to the Lake Rd Frankton address early on Wednesday night following the discovery of Ms RUSSELL lying on the floor of her home.

"As a result of this discovery a sudden death investigation commenced and as a result of this a number of people were interviewed and relocated to allow us to carry out a thorough scene examination.

"Hamilton Police would like to thank those people for their cooperation which enabled us to carry out a professional preliminary examination in a timely manner as possible."
