Waikato Police searching for a man reported missing overnight from Raglan say they have located the man's body and don't believe his death was suspicious.

Sergeant Rob Pierce of the Raglan Police said the 46-year-old man was reported missing on Sunday night and his car was located a short time later.

"Members of the Waikato Search and Rescue Squad converged on an area around Manu Bay at first light this morning in an effort to locate the man.

"Later on in the day the man's body was found in bush at the base of Mt Karioi. Initial indications there were no suspicious circumstances in relation to his death and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."

Mr Pierce said the man's death has been referred to the Coroner.
