Public help sought to find man with stolen car and firearms

Tauranga Police are seeking help from the public to find a man believed to be in possession of stolen firearms and a stolen car.

The silver 2003 Nissan Wingroad station wagon registered number FRG725, was stolen from the Western Bay of Plenty at about 5.45 am today.

This vehicle is believed to be in the possession of Anthony Wilson, aged 27 years, who has contacts in the Western Bay of Plenty and in Auckland’s North Shore suburbs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner, Tauranga CIB, said that Wilson is in possession of stolen firearms and is considered dangerous.

He advises people not to approach the silver Nissan Wingroad station wagon or its occupant but to report any sightings or information immediately to police on 111.
