Police seek witnesses to Huntly triple stabbing

Huntly Police are appealing for information from the public following an early morning incident in the town today that left three men suffering from serious stab wounds.

Officers were called to the scene, on Harris St, about 1am.

Shortly earlier an altercation had taken place in which three men, believed aged in their late teens, early twenties and forties, had suffered multiple stab wounds.

All three were taken to Waikato Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A 44-year-old Hamilton man located at the scene was arrested and will appear in the Hamilton District Court tomorrow facing three charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Initial inquiries and a scene examination are continuing.
