Morrinsville Police appeal for sightings of missing farm worker

Eastern Waikato Police are seeking sightings from the public of a local farmworker last heard from on Friday.

Sergeant Mark Toomey of the Morrinsville Police said 22-year-old Joshua FALWASSER was last heard from on Friday when he texted his brother that he was hitching back home from Tauranga.

"Joshua had gone over to Tauranga with a relative on Wednesday afternoon so he could attend a party on Thursday.

"He was last heard from on Friday night when he texted his brother, he was expected back at the farm he works on to milk cows on Saturday morning but hasn't been heard from or seen since and his family, employer and Police all hold concerns for his well being"

Mr FALWASSER is described as a Maori Male 165-170cm tall who is of medium build.

His family and employer say his disapperance is out of character and Morrinsville Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen him hitch-hiking on SH29 on Friday night or who may have given him a ride.

Anyone with any information on Mr FALWASSER'S whereabouts is asked to contact Mr Toomey at the Morrinsville Police Station on 07 889 5071.
