Called for witnesses to two incidents

Christchurch Police are calling for witnesses to two incidents late last week.

On Thursday 27 September about 11.30pm there was an alleged serious assault on two males by another group of up to five males in their late 20's/early 30's at the corner of Tuam/ High Streets. The assault is described as serious but no one was hospitalised.

In another incident at 9pm on Fiday 28 September a male, possibly with an air rifle allegedly threatened a group of up to six youths a the corner of Guernsey St and Rowses Rd. No one was injured.

Police are seeking any complainants to the second incident and witnesses to either incident or anyone who has information. Please contact Sergeant Kery Joyce, Group 4, Christchurch Central, phone 363 7400.
