0800 number set up for Atiamuri homicide inquiry

Police investigating the death of George Taiaroa in Atiamuri have set up an 0800 number for people who might have information to assist the inquiry.

Mr Taiaroa was shot dead shortly after 3pm on Tuesday (19 March) as he operated a stop-go sign at a single lane bridge on Tram Road.

Police have set up a hotline dedicated to the investigation. Anyone who has information that might assist the investigation is asked to contact 0800 Kingswood or 0800 546 479. All calls will be treated in confidence.
