1 min read

Two men will appear in the Waitakere District Court tomorrow on serious driving charges after the death of a 21 year old man in the West Auckland suburb of Glen Eden last night.

Detective Sergeant Roger Small of the Waitemata CIB says his staff arrested the two men late this afternoon. They are a 35 year old male of New Lynn, and a 28 year old male from Whangaparaoa.

"Both men are charged with Reckless Driving Causing Death."

"They'll remain in custody overnight," he said.

"Police will continue their enquiries into this tragic incident until all witnesses have been interviewed and other routine investigations such as those carried out by the Serious Crash Unit have been completed."

"The prospect of further charges cannot be ruled out," Mr Small said.

The penalty for Reckless Driving Causing Death is five years imprisonment or a fine not exceeding $20, 000.
