Marie Davis Inquiry

1 min read

Police are today, ANZAC day, continuing to make inquiries on information received from the public. This includes the area canvas of properties and people who live near the Waimakariri River and those who were there on the morning of Sunday 6 April. As yet police have still to identify a male aged 60-70 years old, who was seen sitting fishing from a deck chair with his dog near the Waimak on that Sunday.

"He was mentioned by several people and we wish to speak with him as a potential witness," says O/C Detective Senior Sergeant Le Bas. "We are following up all information that will help us build up a detailed picture of what has happened to Marie."

A large number of calls to the Inquiry have been made by the public and police welcome all information.
