Waitoki Service Station - Man Appears In Court

1 min read

A 22 year old workman has appeared in the North Shore District Court today charged with aggravated assault and theft after an incident in which a male service station attendant was attacked in the rural town of Waitoki last month.

Daniel SHRAMKA was arrested by Rodney Police last night.

Police say the arrest is a direct result of the influential media publicity surrounding the attack and detailed information provided by the public.

SHRAMKA from Browns Bay will reappear in the North Shore District Court on Thursday 24 July 2008. He's been released on bail.

Rodney Police say a second offender involved in the incident has not yet been located but a future arrest is expected as they are following strong leads in their enquiries.
