Arrest after attack on school girl

Hornby Police have made an arrest relating to the vicious attack on a 15 yr old school girl who was walking past Christchurch South Intermediate, Selwyn Street at approximately 6.22pm on Tuesday 2 September 2008.

A 41 year old Christchurch man has been arrested on Saturday 20 September and will appear in the Christchurch District Court on Monday 22 September on charges of Abduction, Sexual Violation and Injuring with intent to Injure.

Police continue to seek assistance of the public regards to the sighting of a vehicle of interest to the inquiry team (see attached picture)

We would like to talk to anyone who has seen a similar vehicle in and around the Selwyn street area between 6pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday 2 September 2008.
