Operation Gray Release 3

With the investigation into last Thursday's Duke St shooting entering its fifth day Hamilton Police confirm they have made three arrests as their inquiries continue.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Page of the Hamilton CIB said the arrests were for matters unrelated to the shooting and resulted from the scene examination and subsequent investigations.

"The focus of the investigation is limited to the injured man's industrial residence and a neighbouring property.

"The first arrested man appeared in the Hamilton District Court on Saturday. Two other people, a man and woman, will appear in Hamilton District Court this morning charged with firearms related offences," said Mr Page.

All three are Hamilton residents.

The victim remains in a stable condition at Waikato Hospital after further surgery over the weekend.

Mr Page said the inquiry team sought seek one further person in relation to the shooting and hope to speak with that person later today.

"At this stage we are unable to divulge that person's details," he said.
