Attempted Aggravated Robbery

Police are seeking information from the public in relation to an incident which took place at E-Trans Money Exchange 730A Colombo Street, Christchurch, on Friday 6th March 2009 at approximately 9.00am.

A male wearing a dark hooded top with a dark coloured peaked cap underneath, dark blue track pants with a white stripe on the outside; entered the exchange and presented a black hand gun to staff demanding money. He was unsuccessful in obtaining any cash.

It is believed the male is linked to a silver 2-door model vehicle with distinctive mag wheel tyres. The vehicle was parked on the north side of Gloucester Street outside The DF Souvenir Shop on the corner of Gloucester and Colombo Streets. The vehicle was parked there shortly before 9.00am.
