Man Charged With Murder

A 27 year old unemployed man is to appear in the North Shore District Court today charged with the murder of Paul CHONG in Glenfield. The man was arrested by Police in the suburb of Avondale late yesterday.

Police are seeking a second person in their ongoing investigations into the death of Mr. CHONG. He is Will Junior DILLON a 21 year old male from Avondale.

North Shore CIB want DILLON to contact them as soon as possible. There is a warrant issued and police warn anyone who assists DILLON to avoid arrest that they will face criminal charges.

The vehicle used by the persons involved in the murder has been identified. It is a 1989 - 1993 Subaru Legacy sedan, coloured white. At the time of the murder it had false registration plates.

It is possible this car has been parked somewhere on the North Shore in either the suburbs of Glenfield or Torbay. Any member of the public who sights this vehicle is asked to call Police on 09 477 5000.
