Waitakere Police advise that the male pedestrian who was seriously injured in a hit and run incident in Edmonton Road, Te Atatu, on Wednesday 19 May 2009 has died of his injuries.
Police say the deceased man died in Auckland Hospital on Friday evening 22 May 2009. His identity has been released:

A 20 year old female has appeared in the Waitakere District Court on traffic charges. Police have not ruled out further charges being laid. She has been remanded on bail without plea and will next appear in Court on 24 June 2009.
