Investigation into sitting MP continues

1 min read

Inquiries are continuing into a complaint against a sitting Member of Parliament. Police in both Auckland and Wellington are investigating the allegations, which were made in Auckland.

Through his lawyer, the MP has assured co-operation with the Police investigation. Police are unable to say when they are likely to seek to interview him as they continue to work through their inquiries.

"There remains a good deal of work left to complete", says Detective Inspector Paul Basham, head of Wellington CIB.
